Laser Vision Correction Technology has been around since 1991 when Dr. Stephen Brint performed the first LASIK in the United States. The next level of laser vision technology, LADARVision, provides better results and a greater range of treatment than ever before. A greater range of treatment means more people can now receive clear, focused sight through Laser Vision Correction.

This new technology is still not widely available and only a few forward thinking practices are offering their patients the option of LADARVision. In fact, only a handful of doctors in the world have been approved to use LADARVision.

Brint Daubert Laser Vision is the leader in bringing the very latest technology to their patients. With the widest array of lasers, the most experienced staff, state of the art facilities and surgeons known throughout the world for their skill and expertise, Brint Daubert Laser Vision can treat a wider array of people, give better results and provide a level of individualized care that sets the standard for practices not only in this country, but throughout the world.

How LADARVision Works

The LADARVision Excimer Laser System uses space aged, laser tracking technology, tracking eye movements 4,000 times per second. The tracking system locks the LADARVision laser onto the precise area to be treated and allows the laser to track your eye regardless of movements. LADARVision uses a cool, small spot laser beam to treat micron-sized areas of your cornea. This treatment area is so precise; it is 1/144 the size used by traditional LASIK lasers.

Once your pre-operative examinations have determined the level of correction you require, your LADARVision procedure begins just like a traditional LASIK procedure. A special instrument, a micro-keratome, is used to create a thin flap that exposes the cornea to the laser. Then, the LADAR-tracker locks into the area of your eye requiring correction. Then, the protective flap is gently re-laid over your  cornea and healing begins immediately. The actual procedure itself takes only seconds. LADARVision requires absolutely no sutures, patches or stitches of any kind.

LADARVision is designed to reduce, if not eliminate, your dependence on glasses or contacts. Nearsighted, farsighted, or those with an astigmatism, nearly anyone with stable vision who wears glasses or contacts can now receive clearer vision at Brint Laser Vision.

The LADARVision Experience

On the day of  your procedure, you will usually spend about two hours at the practice. This includes the time spent prior to your procedure giving you “eye drop anesthesia”.

Drs. Daubert and Brint knows how important it is that you feel as comfortable as possible. That is why, before your procedure begins, his staff will explain, in simple terms, exactly what you will encounter prior to, during and immediately after your vision correction procedure. Once your correction is complete, you will immediately see improvement in your vision. After a friend or relative has driven you home, you should have a comfortable night of rest. The following morning, most LADARVision-LASIK recipients awake to a new world of clear images.
